| 'Comic Strip trail' |

In 2009 Brussels becomes the capital of Comic strips. Belgium has played a major role in the development of the 9th art. In fact, comics are known to be "an integral part of Belgian culture".
@dmire presents an exciting program throughout Brussels’ Comic Strip where you will discover over 30 walls covered with colorful murals featuring well-known comic strips’ characters like Tintin, Lucky Luke, Cubitus, Gaston Lagaffe and Marsupilami.
With the help of special rally's you will @dmire this spectacular art and you will learn about the interesting facts and about the history of the comic strips. |
Moreover, you will get to know other compelling figures of Franco-Belgian comics – the Smurfs, a fictional group of small sky blue creatures who live in Smurf Village. In addition, you can visit the Bar of Comics, several shops where you can buy different comic strips, and finally the Tintin Shop. And optionally, you can re-style a Smurf in your own way by painting its white statuette with different colors.

A new venue has been given birth: The Hallepoort (Port of Halle) in Brussels.
After several decades of non-use, this City gate, built between 1357 and 1373, got renovated and is back to be “@dmired”!
Several events such as meetings, conferences, events, dinners, etc. can be organized for you at the Port of Hall.

Known as the Venice of the North, Bruges is famous for being the only remaining European medieval town that has been entirely preserved and thus being one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
In 2000, UNESCO included the entire historical city centre of Bruges onto the World Heritage list.
The movie ‘In Bruges’ released in 2008, Starring Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson and Ralph Fiennes, tells the story of two hit men holed up in Bruges after a difficult job, who begin to differ on their views of life and death as they become used to local customs.

Beersel, situated at only 14 kms of Brussels Grand’Place has many trump cards to play: The castle of Beersel built between 1300 and 1310 by Jan II, the Duke of Brabant, as a defense for Brussels, is one of the few well kept examples of a Medieval fortified castle. It still looks the same as it did at the end of the 15th century.
Beersel is also well known for its 'boterham met plattekaas en radijzen' (a slice of bread with white cheese and radishes), usually served with a geuze beer (locally brewed) and for its 'mandjeskaas' (literally 'basket cheese'), which is a white cheese (made in town) stored in little baskets. The Paper Mill ‘Herisem’ is in Belgium a rare witness of the development of paper. Machines from the 19th century are brought back to live with waterwheels and a restored steam engine. Make your own paper at the Paper Mill Herisem (candidate for the award: Monument of the Year 2007).

Experiment, live and feel the sensual composition of ‘Fashion & Design’ that keeps Brussels alive nowadays.

This tailor-made teambuilding activity is placed under the sign of FASHION in the broad direction. The participants will create their own Fashion Show. The Fashion Show should reflect a creative spectacle of creativity, where passion, motivation and self-confidence and the confidence in the others are emphasised. Everything is allowed, everything is possible and everything is realizable!
Every team will receive an individual mission: Recycling.. a must for everybody!
Young stylists will coach the participants during this teambuilding activity and will explain the procedure of creating your own ‘fashion style’. After this discovery phase it’s up to the participants themselves to take some initiatives. @dmire will foresee also a small sew workshop.
The selected location will be decorated with fashion tools. A fashion show will be projected on a big screen. At the end of the day YOU will show your own creation on the catwalk. During the ‘fashion diner’ you can assess and discuss the ‘Create your own Fashion Show’ event.

A long time ago, Brussels was ruled by 7 noble families also known as the 'Seven Lines'. Every year one of the members of those 'Seven Lines' was chosen as the new leader of Brussels. That was the way how the 'Seven Lines' ensured their monopoly on leadership over the city. |
However, they didn't take account of the guilds. The wanted a co-leadership of the city and so they resisted against this situation. In order to attemt the power, the different guilds must achieve a number of assignments.
Using 'The Rulers of Brussels!', every guild will achieve an assignment in time. At the end of the game, the guild that has acquired the most capital becomes the new leader of Brussels. |

Gella Vandecaveye leads you through a 2 day teambuilding activity at the Ardennes. The 2 day program consists in several activities conducive to the group feeling, i.e. mountain biking, challenge parcours, kayaking, barbecue, etc.
